Depending on whether or not you ski, many people here believe Fall is the
most beautiful season in New Mexico. It's a very big season for the arts,
with shows and events pretty much every weekend. People should be receiving
there invitations by now for the DOGSCAPES opening in October and I'm hoping
for a good turnout.

Commissions for MONTANA , a beautiful Australian Kelpie, and TEDDY , a cherished Golden retriever are getting shipped out this week. And right behind them are two more commissions from a lovely lady who saw the show in South Dakota and wants portraits of her Golden and a Bishon Frise.

And to all you humans who lovingly commission commemorative portraits of
your dog friends, here is a beautiful quote from author Agnes Sligh Turnbull
(1888-1982):

“Dog’s Lives are too short. It’s their only fault, really.”

To share my experience as a working artist, twice a month I post new dairy entries and snapshots. It’s a chronicle of professional and personal events, opinions on art and life.
